As we prepare for Veteran’s Day, let’s take some time to show our military families our appreciation and support for the sacrifices they make for you and I to walk these streets safely. They answer the call and serve without complaining; regardless of the fact they’re missing a child’s first tooth, first steps, high school graduation, and the passing of a loved one. Our vets have served for years to keep our lives free and they deserve our appreciation. It’s more than a mattress sale or a special discount on living room furniture (that’s great, I’m just saying…).
When was the last time you thanked a service man/woman for their hard work? How can you show your appreciation to our veterans other than on Veteran’s Day?
My sorority and chapter (Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Tau Eta Zeta Chapter) will be honoring our military families during the entire month of November, with events that are open to the public and deserve some attention from YOU!
