To remember the events of September 11th, I decided to show my love and appreciation to the United States Air Force. This day also falls on Patriots Day as well so, it’s fitting.

When you think about the what took place that day, it still amazes me that this actually happened in the United States. Our lives will never be the same!

Today, I am honoring all those dedicated men and women in the United States Air Force; especially my brother JR.

He’s toured Iraq and Afghanistan so many times; sacrificing his life so that his wife (also a high ranking officer in the US Air Force), their children and the rest of the country can live safely. My brother is just a few years younger than I am and we met when he was a senior in high school (early 2000’s).  Since that initial “hello” and a sort-of-awkward hug, our lives changed for the better. As the oldest of three, it felt good to know that I had another sibling on my father’s side. J (that’s what I call my brother) and I have the same laugh, sense of humor and love for family! We love long and we love hard. I am so happy to know that he’s back in the United States, rebuilding his family and catching up on life. I also know that he wouldn’t ask any questions if he were called again to serve his country. He’s an awesome man, son, uncle, husband,  father, brother, and friend anyone could ever have. We live time zones apart and I miss him so much!

So glad the Air Force took great care of my baby brother. Can’t wait for Thanksgiving dinner guys!

Love you J!

For all the men and women who serve in the US Air Force and other branches of the United States Armed Forces, thank you for all that you do! I can’t imagine doing what you do everyday. May GOD continue to bless you and keep you and your families safe! My prayers out to the families who lost a loved on on 9/11 and in the wars that followed.

May God keep you and may God bless you! For more information on the US Air Force, click here!
