So grateful for all the smiling faces that came through Ruth’s Closet in Owings Mills yesterday to give back in honor and remembrance of September 11th! It was 11 years ago that our country suffered the most tragic terroristic act of violence in history! Mending the pieces physically, mentally, financially and socially, the United States took a vow to DO SOMETHING that will honor, respect and remember those lives lost on 9/11.

I chose to GIVE BACK to women who were displaced from their families, children, homes, jobs, and loved ones due to domestic violence. In a sense, the connection is similar; but not too dramatic. The people who lost their lives on 9/11 have family members who are now displaced and were forced to rebuild their lives all over again. Women living in a domestic violent relationship, after getting help, have to do the same thing.

Special thanks to Ruth’s Closet (9131 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills) for opening their doors and their amazing “donated” items to those who came through to give and purchase in support of The House Of Ruth Women’s Shelter.
