While listening to his parents record collection, DJ Twisted developed a love for music but became passionate towards Djing at the age of 13. After witnessing how interested in Djing he was, his grandfather brought him two record players with 8 tracks at the bottom of them and two house speakers for each one. With no mixer, he put the two speakers together to create a unified sound. With this vintage equipment, a lot of determination and the heavy influence of the movie “Juice”, DJ Twisted eagerly began his career. From the humble beginnings of house parties DJ Twisted progressed to professionally djing clubs, private & corporate events and even arenas. He started making his presence known at 92Q by attending music meetings and networking with the on air talent as well as volunteering to dj station events. DJ Twisted has opened for celebrity acts such as Young Jeezy, Trina, K. Michelle, Bobby Shmurder, Kiesha Cole, Kevin Gates, Raheem Devaughn and Freeway to name a few. DJ Twisted is a professional DJ with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who puts time management as a priority. He is well experienced in working in various venues as a DJ, sound technician, and MC. DJ Twisted is the CEO of The Movement Team DJ’s. He manages marketing and promotions of a team of talented DJ’s. Although his notoriety has grown throughout his career Dj Twisted he still enjoys providing the soundtrack for lifes most memorable events. The greatest of his career thus far was being welcomed into the Radio One family. With that goal fulfilled Dj Twisted is setting his sights on becoming an internationally known Dj. His ultimate goal is to successfully entertain and provide quality services to all his clients and listeners. @Djtwisted3000

This week, I went back to Sportsmart (311 N. Exeter Street) to pick the Sick Kick of the Week. It was a toss up between the Air Jordan 12s in dark grey suede and the 97 Nike Air Max Ultra (Boy’s Grade School).

After talking to Sportsmart expert Craig, he recommended the Jordans because they recently dropped, but also said the Air Max because they were the selling more than the J’s. After surveying the store, I chose Air Max.
Air Max 97, a Nike running shoe designed by Christian Tresser, was inspired by Japan’s high-speed Bullet Trains and features a mix of leather, foam and full-length visible Air. The 20-year classic comes in different flavors but the Boy’s grade school style comes in gym blue, obsidian and summit white.
Each week, DJ Twisted will travel to different shoe stores and get feedback from the store managers, shoppers and sneaker connoisseurs to determine the hottest, most anticipated, newest, throwback, or trending kicks and sneaker releases!
