Is it unrealistic to expect men/women not to have sex in order to pursue their religious calling?

Its realistic, if that’s the faith they want 2 follow, they know what goes along w/it.If sex is that important, don’t commit – Skinni

Yes! If priest were allowed not to suppress there sexual desires, they would be better off. How can a religious figure educate someone about a woman if they never been with one? – Dana

I’d rather have him do that in the bookstore than to violate someones child, etc. Not saying that he would do that but yes, very unrealistic. – Lori

Everyone chooses their direction in life and before making the choice the sacrifices and expectations are known. So no it’s not unrealistic. – Jeramy

I think that it is…he is still human…I’m not saying that him doing that in a store was the Rite thing to do but he is an adult…wasn’t hurting or abusing any innocent children! – Selena

Their suppose to give that up that’s what is expected and that’s part of the faith cuz otherwise just live in the world if ur not going to ur faith – Shahvir

Yes it is unrealistic..we are all humans with needs, we need to get it in. I do think its possible to give up sex (with other ppl) for religious callings..but if ur not doing it with somebody your doing it with yourself. – DeAndre
