Fresh off a career-defining year that included Grammy wins, chart-topping singles and a highly publicized rap battle with Drake, Kendrick continues to prove why he’s one of the greatest MCs to ever touch a mic.

Hailing from Compton, Kendrick first broke onto the scene with his critically acclaimed good kid, m.A.A.d city album in 2012. Since then, he’s collected 17 Grammy Awards and made history by winning the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 2018 for DAMN – the first non-jazz or classical artist to do so.

His recent record, “Not Like Us,” which took direct aim at Drake, became the anthem of the year. It swept the 2025 Grammys, winning five major categories including Song and Record of the Year. That same week, Kendrick made history again, headlining the Super Bowl halftime show solo, with 133.5 million people tuned in.

He’s currently co-headlining the sold-out Grand National Tour with SZA and the buzz isn’t stopping anytime soon. Insiders say Kendrick is already in talks to headline the 2028 Olympics opening ceremony in his hometown of Los Angeles.

From his poetic lyricism to his ability to move and influence culture, Kendrick Lamar isn’t just riding a wave, he’s creating the wave. Happy birthday, K. Dot!
