Dre’s ‪#‎Breakfastbite‬…  Dre’s ‪#‎Breakfastbite‬… Do you agree or disagree with Anne Arundel County now allowing students to have and use their cellphones in class? What are your thoughts?

Vonnie Fatz Long I disagree, you’re in school to learn not be on your cellphone. Unless there’s a threat. Put it up

Kevin Boardley No how can focus on learning if you are your cell phone.

Keisha Henson Disagree. It is a major distraction. However I do believe that they should b allowed to lock them up before entering class in case of emergencies.

Toiya Best Disagree, they should only be able to use them for emergencies. What are you learning if you’re on your phone all day in class??? Gm Dre!!!

Tee Denton I disagree. Students need to focus on their school and learning. Cell phone use should be after school. Gm Dre

Shekella Charity Disagree. It will be a distraction.

Naomi Richardson Honestly they can listen to music and whatever else with cell phones in classrooms now anyway (bmore county too) so I don’t see what the difference would be…besides that county’s school system is great and test scores are not low so I’m guessing they know what they are doing when they make certain decisions… ijs

Nina TakingCharge Zamora No….if i couldn’t have mine in class then they shouldn’t either.

Anita Crockett There are already so many distractions in class, why add another? You are in school to learn so pay attention.

Tashia Smith Good morning Dre. This is exactly the reason why these kids are not learning a darn thing as is. Kids in Baltimore use their cellphones in class with no problem. Back in the day they took your cellphone or you pager (beeper) away from you if they seen it. These kids need to focus more on what they should be, and that’s school. Have a blessed day!

mr_wonder27 I don’t think that is a good idea..none of the students will get any work done

lil_adam_55 YESS I WISH MY SCHOOL WOULD DO THAT!! #DREJOHNSON

jpslater1983 They using them anyway so why not .

angeltruestory Don’t need them…

melodiestomemories @drejohnson1 sure why not it’ll keep students from disrupting one another from instruction less talking more messaging 😂

realmrsweaver Heeelll no…..these kids have too much lead way nowadays..in school (2000-2004) we were allowed to have them on vibrate..we didnt need them. @drejohnson1

eboni_vs_ebo It has its pros and cons. It may help if it helps to advance the educational progress. However if it becomes a distraction from learning, it will become a problem.

dark_ness1244 👎 #BigFail

the1_mrsjones0718 There has to be some parameters in place for usage. Students can use cell phones to assist with learning and understanding a subject being taught. However, calling people during class instruction should not be acceptable. This can be a distraction to the other students trying to learn.

iamdjbunk They going to be calling up their cousins and aunties for fights now lmao

donnellanzoramom1 Agree how are these kids learning if they on their phone half of the day….

embo3 They don’t need it in class

all_is_on_921 I live in Charlotte and they have technology Tuesday’s …….. I think it’s a wonderful idea! Let’s be real they have them anyway let’s get some constructive use out of them

blizz40 Total distraction. I don’t approve!

_siriam_ I agree but I also disagree. I agree because if you have your phone out, you’ll miss what they teacher is saying because your focus on something else. I disagree because if something was to happen in school for example school shootings, fire, chemical spills and more than you should have your phone to call your parents to either come get you or let them know you’re safe.

foxytbaby_ I don’t think that the residents of Baltimore have a right to speak on the matter because AA County’s test scores and school system doesn’t look as shitty as ours 🐸☕️ Maybe we need to do what they’re doing because what we’re doing isn’t working
