With Memorial Day being the first official holiday that the world is “wide open” due to mask mandates being lifted across the United States people are traveling heavily this weekend. According to AAA, 37 million Americans will travel during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Even though the amount of cars will cause major road delays and gas prices have risen, people are UP and OUT!

“AAA notes that the actual number of holiday travelers could fluctuate as we approach Memorial Day. If there is an increase in reported cases attributed to new COVID-19 variants, some people may decide to stay home, while others may note the strong progress in vaccinations and make last-minute decisions to travel. AAA recommends working with a travel agent, who can help if you need to make any last-minute changes to travel plans as well as explore travel insurance options and help you plan a vacation that meets your needs and comfort-level this summer.”

Of course, those who have not been vaccinated are being asked to continue to wear their mask while those vaccinated have the option in certain places to being to move mask-less. We shall see how this goes?
