Baltimore Parents & Teachers Go Off On North Ave Over Heating Issues

Baltimore City School students, parents and teachers showed up by the hundreds to Tuesday night’s city school board meeting for answers about the heating/maintenance problems that left students in cold classrooms last week.

Many stood outside city school headquarters on North Avenue holding signs that read “don’t be cold-hearted” and “40 degrees is inhumane” as the city school board met inside. Parents made it known that they want accountability from school board members and accused them of ignoring problems facing city children.
The school system is planning to hold a town hall meeting to discuss facilities issues on Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. at Dunbar High School.
