Every week the Rap Attack crew will grade all things hip hop but, this isn’t your TYPICAL report card. We have our own way of doing things. So check out our grading policy:
D – The Highest Grade….D for “DOPE“
C – An OK Grade….C for “Chills“
B – Uhhhh…. B for “Boooooo“
A – TRY AGAIN…A for AWWWW HELLLL NO!!!

This Week:
HIP HOP: It is homecoming weekend Shout Out to Howard University. All the celebs love Howard including Chris Brown who was arrested during homecoming in DC and charged with felony assault. SMH!!! Here’s what happened!
WHAT WE THINK: Nooooo not again Chris..just plain crazy. Hopefully Chris didnt do but if he did….
GRADE: A (Awww Helllll Nooooo) damn shame!!
HIP HOP: Diddy lauches REVOLT TV. All music channel!!
WHAT WE THINK: Definitely a good look for Diddy and up and coming artists. You don’t only have youtube or blogs anymore. You can actually get famous from tv.
GRADE: D (DOPE)
HIP HOP: In cased you missed it. TLC the movie dropped last Sunday on VH1. If you wanna watch it here ya go!!
WHAT WE THINK: All the TLC Fans seemed to love it and Pebbles (TLC’s former manager and founder) is probably sitting somewhere lookin salty
GRADE: D (DOPE)
HIP HOP: Kanye West FINALLY DID IT!!! We guess the 3rd time is a charm!! Kim K. and Kanye are engaged. Check out the proposal video HERE
WHAT WE THINK: The proposal was cool. Not very intimate but whatever. If they like it we love it.
GRADE: C (Chills)
HIP HOP: Maino is coming for all you NYC rappers. He’s basically saying stop tryna sound like you’re from the south and STEP YA BARS. He released a track with Jadakiss called “What Happened” Listen below:
WHAT WE THINK: Maino is telling the truth but its a new age. Hip hop is coming from everywhere BUT you still need to stick to your unique sound. If you’re from NY stop trying to rap like you’re from ATL. We feel you Maino.
GRADE: C (CHILLS) The record had a good message.
