We all know Jay Z wears his suit very nicely and when it comes down to business that tie is very firm! Recently jigga has been making a lot of business moves starting with the signing of a major deal with Universal Music Group, the new agreement will move the Roc Nations label over from Sony/Columbia to Universal. The new roster includes Rih Rih, M.I.A, Timbaland, Shakira and of course Jay Z.
According to Jay Z,
“This agreement presents a unique opportunity for Roc Nation’s artists — being able to continue to operate as an independent label with the strength, power and reach of the best major,” Jay said in a statement. “I look forward to a long and prosperous collaboration with U.M.G. It feels good to be home.”
Not only is Jay Z signing new business deals with Universal but he also just recently we got news thats After one season at the Barclays center apparently Jay Z may be selling off his 1% share. And it’s all because he wants to expand his Roc Nation Sports division, According to NBA rules, one cannot have ownership in a team and represent individual players at the same time.
