Gabby Douglas has rose to superstar status quickly and like Dave Chappelle used to say “I’m Riiiiiiicccch B%$##” Douglas has just signed a deal with Kelloggs Cereal Brand for a reported $90 Million Dollars!!!!!!! So for all the haters who was talking about her hair and the judges that were giving her a hard time early in the olympics, one word……Karma!!! Another good thing from this is that her mother who made the great sacrifice can let go of the 3 jobs she was working prior to the olympics.
According to the New York Post, industry experts are saying she could have over 30 additional contracts over the next decade at more than $2.4 million each.
Gabby was on the Today Show when she announced the deal, and spoke on her climb to the top:
“I just want people to know it took a lot. It took a lot of hard days in the gym and determination, passion and drive. Gold medals are made out of your sweat, blood and tears, and effort in the gym every day, and sacrificing a lot that you have to do.”
“It’s so meaningful to be the first African-American to win the all-around gold medal in the individual and making the history books is definitely one of the perks. It just feels amazing.”
