Everyone everywhere is asking who is KONY and what the movement is all about. Joseph KONY is the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda, Africa. KONY has been abducting children and using them as solidiers and sex slaves since 1986. He has also abducted an estimated of 30, 000 children. This issue has been going on for almost 30 years now, and it has to stop! The idea is to raise awareness about this issue to make KONY famous so that he can be arrested and face a trial. Jason Russell has raised awareness by founding the media driven non-profit orginization, Invisible Children Inc. which fights to end genocide and crimes against humanity.
The documentary titled KONY 2012 is a 30 minute film about who KONY is and what we can do to stop him. Let’s make him famous, tell everyone who he is and what he has done. With over 4 million views in just two days, the documentary is a must see.
