A Baltimore highschool held a safe sex class where an educator demonstrated oral sex on a sex toy to teach proper condom use. The Love Zone on Wednesday was all about whether or not schools should be teaching our kids about sex.

Should Schools Teach Our Kids About Sex?

The fact of the matter is..kids are into sex, its blasted throughout our social media. Contraceptive sex education should be taught throughout the school system. Half of these kids don’t even have parents…so where else are they going to learn??..from their 15yr old friend??? O_o – Jasmine
I say “yes” as well. As long as a consent form was sent home and/or is on file at the school. Can’t stop teens from having sex regardless of what your values are. Some don’t have parents who are discussing pregnancy, STD/STIs, safe sex, hygiene, etc. Being educated means you can make the right educated decision for yourself and your health. – Lori

I think knowledge is power, parents and teacher need to explain the positive and negative sides to sexual behavior so that way the info is reinforced. – Ricardo
Schools should teach kids about “sex”. Nothing wrong about that its a part of life. But getting into details how to place condoms on the penis,how to perform oral is too much. Having sex toys in the classroom is crazy. – Joshua
I think they shouldnt allow it..i mean look at all the highschool boys going jail now and days for rape or all the teachers having sex with the kids. – Treshawna
I think safe sex info should be widely available to kids in school…I mean they makin videos.. No need to let the blind lead the blind. – Tony
