Hip Hop In Pink made its mark in Baltimore last night as all of the city’s best female MCs, DJ’s, Media personalities, and power players joined together for one epic cause; Breast Cancer. Hip Hop In Pink, founded by Radio One’s own Civ Jones, is a social benefit with live music performances celebrating women in Hip Hop standing to “kick Breast Cancer’s a**”! With an all female showcase which included, Carmen Cameron, Si-Notes, Ashley Moore, Tiara LaNiece, TT the Artist, Mzery Loves Company and exclusive all female Hip Hop cypher. Also 92Q’s Angel Baby of Rap Attack was caught spinning the latest and greatest music of the Hip-Hop culture. MERDJ.com in conjunction with E Media’s Women of Power Networking hosted this tremendous effort. Radio One’s own Civ Jones (Magic 95.9), Singleton Newman (1010 WOLB), and of course Angel Baby (92Q Jams) teamed up to make this event happen and celebrate those who have expirienced, been effected by, or survived the devestating disease.
Many power players came out to support the event including, Konan of 92Q, WOLB Permiss, Mark Henry, Queen By All Means, WPGC’s Poet, comedian Larry Lancaster, The Legendary DDM, NRG Theory Swen Brock and many more.
Proceeds from the event will go to Blink Pink, a non-profit organization who’s mission is to celebrate those who have survived this devestating disease, educate through health and wellness, support and provide resources for Women who have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
