A stretch of Bennett Place in West Baltimore has been blocked for 11 days because of violent. Only residents with ID’s are allowed on the street. Bennette Place has been the home of multiple shootings with lastest happening last night blocks away.

Dre’s ‪#‎breakfastbite‬.. Should streets with high levels of violence be block off to help curve crime? @drejohnson1 ‪#‎92q‬

Wanda SweetPeaches Ramseur Yes

Nicole Christian there should at least be a warning

Elliott Simon You can block the street but that’s not going to stop someone from shooting or killing someone. It only prevents it for that day or the person goes up to the next block and commit the crime.

Stuart Goodall What you trying to do make “Hamsterdam” a reality?

Charlene Manns Let the citizens decide because everybody that lives in these neighborhoods don’t deserve to be trapped in their homes for a handful of unruly, but what they do deserve is POLICE presence, extra if needed. We pay taxes for this not to be barricade in …See More

Dani- Renee‏@danilovinmylocs @DreJohnson1 when they lift the block the crime comes back. They need to make better choices in resolving crime. Fund some programs 4 kids

Nelson Moody‏@MOOMOOMoody56m

@DreJohnson1 Block off the high crime areas. Only way to stop the spread of any hazard is to control it first

Baltimore B‏@BmoreInform @DreJohnson1 NO…then u just create zones of chaos. It will still leak into other areas. Educate, enforce, support and viable options needed

Matthew E. Bradby II‏@MatthewBradby @DreJohnson1 GM…No! This will be another measure used by the powers that be 2 unfairly coral people. This is a poverty & education issue!

larri alston‏@larrialston @DreJohnson1 No 2 killer quarantine making innocent prey 4 violent criminals*System wants us 2 do them a favor and take each other out☹

daveth3kingNo, they will just go to another street.

londynn_bridgeI dont believe blocking the street will curve crime. Maybe they should have more police presence and involvement.

whthershey209They can’t stop violence by blocking off a street. That is the dumbest s**t I ever heard. Only we as people can stop the violence. We got to do better. GM dre n james

goldendevaNo it’s not helping I live on Bennett Place they just harass the residents that live on there everytime I pull up to my block it’s a problem to get on if u don’t have ur ID plus they dudes just on another block or trap n walk Smdh currently in process of moving @drejohnson1

westside_barnesTruth is the violence will just move to another area. People have to be willing to work together to stop this, until that day comes, violence won’t stop

eman3275Was it going to block of all the street come on man don’t make no sense

ericwilson35No it make our city look like Afghanistan wit baracades and big blue lights everywhere . We are the charmed city they don’t stop anything it just look stupid

brace_yourself327They have to start somewhere right…
