On Tuesday, an unauthorized individual hijacked the live stream of a Baltimore City School Board meeting and displayed disturbing antisemitic, racist, and obscene imagery, including swastikas and hate-filled language, during the public comment section. Chey Parker, DJ Quicksilva and Porkchop discuss who possible suspects might be and updates in the case.

The meeting was broadcasted live via YouTube and immediately ended after the offensive content appeared. Tina Hike-Hubbard, spokesperson for Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS), described the incident as “antisemitic, racist, obscene adult content that was deeply offensive, threatening and inappropriate.” The board went into recess and resumed session shortly after in-person, with a clean feed posted later.

City schools and local police are now investigating the incident as a hate crime. Baltimore City School Police Chief Jeffrey Shorter confirmed the district would bolster online security and work with law enforcement to identify the culprit and prevent future breaches.

The Baltimore Zionist District issued a statement condemning the hate crime, emphasizing that it was “antisemitism, pure and simple.” It also urged the school system to not downplay the incident, which shows that even school board meetings intended to foster dialogue with students, parents and staff, can become targets for extremist attacks.

The hate crime investigation is ongoing.
