Yahu Blackwell has done it! The very first boxer in history to ever own a Rita’s Italian ice franchise.
In 2015 Yahu’s mother “Sandra Blackwell” was taken from him due to medical malpractice. In her finally moments, she asked Yahu for a “Cotton Candy Rita’s Italian Ice”. This was the driving force that led the boxing champion from Baltimore.
Yahu not only returned with the cotton candy Italian ice but the entire franchise itself.
Yahu announced a July 16th soft opening to prepare his staff for what’s to come. Rita’s Baltimore rotunda is set to be one of the highest traffic locations within the DMV area.
The boxer is looking to re-enter the ring before the closing of the 2021 calendar, he is preparing to fight in Dubai for the WBC regional heavyweight championship.
