It’s no strange thing to not hear about the WNBA or Woman’s Basketball marketed and promoted daily. Contrary to popular belief women’s basketball and women’s sports is very intense and enjoyable. However, injury can cost the opportunities of a lifetime way more than men’s sports.
DiDi Richards a former Guard at Baylor was once temporarily paralyzed after colliding with a teammate during practice. While recovering in the hospital she told reporters of Bleacher Report, “I was laying in the hospital and someone said I couldn’t walk again, and so now look at me. …Don’t let anyone predetermine what’s going to happen in your life.”
DiDi most recently declared for the 2021 WNBA Draft; and was selected 17th Overall to the New York Liberty!
