Last week, the popular hip hop news brand XXL released their annually anticipated “Freshman List”. The 2020 list features fan favorites like Jack Harlow, Rod Wave, Mulatto, Polo G, NLE Choppa and more.
As I mentioned on the air, the industry has traditionally been tough on the brand for their list. It’s common knowledge that a lot of these artists get picked apart mainly because of their rising fame and the almost automatic response of ‘who?’ when the list comes out.

Some of the freshmen got to read what people were saying about them and saw that some opinions can get a little harsh. Most of them fought back against the piercing tweets and pretty much all of them just took it as fun and games.
