A Baltimore City School employee has tested positive for the Coronavirus.
The employee worked at Cherry Elementary/Middle School in South Baltimore.
According to Mayor Jack Young, the employee hasn’t been at school since the school year was suspended earlier this month. “I am confident in Baltimore City Schools CEO Dr. Sonja Santelises and her team and the efforts they have engaged in with the health department to learn as much about the case as possible, and ensure all appropriate guidance is followed.”
The city school system believe the employee contracted the virus three days after school was suspended in March.
