So it seems as though time truly does heal all; or at least it helps get charges dropped. Back in August, Cousins, (current Center for the Los Angeles Lakers) was turning himself in on potential Domestic Violence charges against his ex-girlfriend and mother of 1 of his children.

According to multiple sources, this feud stemmed from Cousins asking his former lover if his son could be in attendance for his wedding to now wife, Morgan Lang (Cousins); and was denied that right. Cousins’ ex-girlfriend and the mother of his 7-year-old son filed a police report Friday, about two hours after she alleged Cousins threatened to “put a bullet in your (expletive) head.” The phone conversation was recorded by Cousins’ ex-girlfriend and a copy was provided to the Mobile (Alabama) police department.

Since that time Cousins has suffered from a torn ACL injury during summer camp with the Lakers and hasn’t even seen life in the Lakers uniform for live action. After signing a free-agent deal with the Lakers this summer, Cousins suffered a torn ACL in a summer workout and could miss most, if not all, of the Lakers’ season. He has remained with the team to rehabilitate the injury.

As of November 22nd, Cousins no longer faces domestic violence charges according to ESPN and his attorney. Due to the NBA having a zero tolerance policy toward domestic violence, Demarcus could still face a suspension and fine from the league.
