The NCAA never ceases to amaze the world. Since Rich Paul has come on the scene he has disrupted the National Basketball Associations “Boys Club” of team governors and more. Most recently he and his client Anthony Davis disrupted the league in it’s entirety by getting Davis’s contract with the New Orleans Pelicans dismantled; which led the trade of him to the Lakers possible.
Rich Paul has a variety of top players on his roster. Players such as LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Draymond Greene and more. Paul does not have a college degree; but has mastered the art of negotiating for his clients so well that the NCAA has declared a new rule that reflects his path.
According to ESPN, the NCAA has new required that ALL AGENTS that are requesting to represent student-athletes before they have declared for the draft must have: A Bachelors Degree, NBPA certified, Liability Insurance & submit an application by the appropriate deadline declared by the NCAA.
As Rich Paul continues to disrupt the league the NCAA will always be behind at this point, but they are trying to eliminate as many Rich Paul’s as they can in advance…Which isn’t going to happen any time soon!
