92Q own Radio Personality Raven Paris , made her first stop on her Radio Workshop Tour to The Baltimore Design School to visit Ms. Valencia Clay 8th Grade Class. The students reaction to becoming 92Q radio personalities for the day was amusing to say the least but overall, a very momorable, fun, and learning experience for Raven Paris, Ms. Clay and for the students.
“The presence of a radio personality is usually a quintessential visit that gets the youth to dance or rap. Raven Paris presence was unique of any host I have ever encountered. Even though she has an inspirational story, she did not make the visit about herself or her accomplishments, she made the children look at themselves. Her workshop made them see themselves in her shoes, as the voice of experiences. As a teacher, what I appreciated most was her advocacy for reading. She prompted the students to use literature as a bases for their voice. Her message was that you have to read before you can you be heard. She made being smart look lit. 92Q will surely continue to remain a whirlpool of positivity in the Baltimore community with Raven Paris leading behind the mic and in front of the youth”
