A bill requiring businesses with 15 or more employees to provide 5 paid sick days passed the Maryland General Assembly and now on the way to Gov. Larry Hogan, who plans to veto the measure.
Employees would earn one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
This bill would help the more 750,000 Maryland residents who do not have access to a single paid sick day.
Dre’s #breakfastbite.. Lawmakers approve sick leave bill that would require full-time employees in Maryland to earn at least 5 days of sick time a year, but the Governor threatens to veto. What are your thoughts?
henrygannett He needs to get out of that office
taneshatheone It doesn’t
seriously_outofcontrol The governor is a joke… any human with compassion would want a person to have some time off to get better… a sick person in a work environment only make others sick… Wake up people…. Vote for another governor
taneshatheone It doesn’t affect him so zero care for the ppl it does
blacklivesmatter_scorpion Well my question is? Would this apply to him also having his sick day’s stripped also? He is just the wrong politician to be in office as govern. Would would be sense in working if someone gets ill and need’s this time off what exactly are they suppose to do? Come to work feeling bad or even to the extinct that someone maybe under Dr’s order’s . He has got to GO!
bmore_dottiIt was his idea. Why veto it?
heisvirgo83It wasn’t a problem when he got sick. These politicians are for their self now a days
