This holiday season, spice up your parties, gatherings and get-togethers with a few delicious recipes from acclaimed chef, Huda Mu’min.

Chef Huda joined guest host Michelle Bernard on Friday’s edition of NewsOne Now with a number of recipes and tips to help make your holiday party a success.

Huda reminded viewers the holidays are all about “family, fun and sharing” and her offerings encompass those ideas with simple and tasty recipes.

One of the healthiest dishes created by Chef Huda, titled Spicy Turkey Sausage and Collard Green Soup, combines black-eyed peas, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, collard greens or kale, spicy turkey sausage and chicken broth.

Huda also brings a new twist to an old favorite. Her Signature Shrimp and Grits recipe adds cherry tomatoes and lemon juice. The shrimp is marinated in blackening seasoning and served over an aged white cheddar grit.

Everybody loves macaroni and cheese, but Chef Huda has made this pillar of holiday meals a whole new dish. Her Crab Mac and Cheese combines white cheddar, crabmeat, sweet corn and crunchy bread crumbs.

After partaking in all of those scrumptious dishes, you will definitely want a delicious drink. Chef Huda’s Holiday Punch combines strawberry juice, raspberry juice, Cuties clementine oranges and blueberries to create a mix of fruits that will not only quench your thirst, but also excite your taste buds.

Watch guest host Michelle Bernard, Chef Huda and the NewsOne Now panel discuss these delicious holiday recipes in the video clip above.
