Baltimore is home to R&B Divas LA star and singer Brave Williams so it was only natural to hit the streets of Baltimore with family and friends to help cleanup her city after the riots on Monday. Brave spoke with DJ QuickSilva and Lil Mo of The Fam about why it was important for her to be on the ground taking part in the massive cleanup effort.
Brave shared a moment when she spoke with a kid who had plans to cause more destruction in the streets of Baltimore but instead of judging him, she prayed with him. That moment of compassion resulted in the young man asking for a broom to help with the cleanup.
What I'm witnessing is unbelievable! I wish the media would show the love being exchanged on the streets here on north ave and in the city. There is ALOT of unity taking place right now. I just prayed with a gang member who wanted to go to a location at 3pm today to begin another riot. Instead. ..after prayer, he took my broom🙌🙌❤️🙏🙏 Men, women, young, old, fellow shipping, hugging, cleaning and exchanging stories of how to impact our community for the better. I brought brooms for everyone, gloves, trash bags and I didn't know if wAs going to have to convince people to help out. NOT the case at all. I lost count of my brooms because there were hands left and right grabbing them- and the fact is- the community united 5 am this morning to begin the cleaning. I'm off to another location. Keep #prayingforbaltimore it's WORKING🙏🙏🙌❤️ #braveheart #theresloveinBaltimore #4REAL #fearless in Real Life
