Fellow alum, Bill Cosby, was on hand to personally present singer Jill Scott with her honorary doctorate from Temple University. Her alma mater recognized Scott for making charitable contributions to art and music. The 42-year-old delivered inspiring words to graduates and expressed absolute gratitude for her accomplishment. She also shared that she worked two jobs while juggling her full load of college classes.
“My son, that I was told I would never have, is in this room watching me get an honorary degree today,” she told the crowd while sharing how she worked two jobs while maintain a full courseload of work as a student.
