Kendrick Lamar slaughtered the hip hop game a few weeks ago when Big Sean‘s “Control” leaked. Many said Kendrick Lamar “murdered” Big Sean on his own track. Emcees all over the world hit the studio up to respond to Lamar’s verse, which the rapper said was widely misinterpreted.

According to hiphopdx.com, Kendrick Lamar named Baltimore-bred King Los as one of the artists yielding the best response to his verse. Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Kevin Hart’s rap persona Chocolate Drop we also named.

“I liked the [King] Los verse,” Kendrick revealed. “Joe Budden did this thing, Joell; a lot of people with different approaches…Joey had the facts in his verse, a few things that he felt. Papoose had the comical joint. Los was flipping his words and putting that spunk on it. I think he had the killer thing though. Yeah, Los killed it out of everybody. But the number one joint at the top of the list had to be Chocolate Drop.”
