Two of the frontrunners for political office in NY are emerging from BIG sex scandals!! Anthony Weiner leading candidate for mayor was caught texting nude pics to women across the country and Elliot Spitzer was caught with a standing account with a prostitute. Both men are now on their way to the next phase in their political careers without too many people questioning their messy sexual pasts.
Are we quick to forget and forgive or does the sexual activity of politicians even matter any more?
The problem is they expect elected officials to also be the moral compass for the community. I dont care what you do in your bedroom….Can you balance the budget is all I care about.

It goes to judgement; character isn’t the issue but if someone in government exposes themselves to scrutiny, it affects the whole of government and thus it is the peoples business.
Yes-If they are using my tax payer dollars otherwise-no , but I probably can not elect someone who flashes his/her goods all over video!
