The new Ricki Lake Show premiered in September with high hopes but Twentieth Television has announced that the program will not return for the 2013-2014 lineup. Baltimore wishes Ricki the best and we know there are many great things to come.

Ricki says she is proud of the series, and she will re-focus on making documentaries with Abby Epstein, her partner from the documentary “The Business of Being Born.”

“I am so proud of the shows we completed this season, sparking important conversations about everything from raising children to mental illness to suicide prevention to coming out,” she says. “I will continue to be an active and passionate voice for subjects that are close to my heart, through a variety of platforms — and a return to my documentary filmmaking work with Abby Epstein. I am excited to create meaningful and provocative films similar to our 2007 project, ‘The Business of Being Born.'”
