We all stress out about who to get what for on Christmas. Listen, it’s really the season for giving but in various essences like: time, love, forgiveness, etc. It’s not about breaking the bank so that Mom gets a iPad or so that your husband gets a 3piece suit!
I concentrate on the children. My son is 14 so he knows who Santa is and how his behavior this year determines what he’ll find under the tree December 25th. My nieces and nephews and god-children will probably benefit more because they’re younger. So as long as you tell your adult loved ones that you love them more now than ever before, hopefully…no PRAYERFULLY, they’ll understand that it’s not about the PRESENT but your PRESENCE is what really matters.
My mother is the worst person to shop for. Although she’s a minister and understands FULLY what Christmas is all about, she still expects a gift for Christmas! So, I know I’ll have to do something for the woman who reminds me DAILY how many hours she endured the labor pains bringing me into the world.
Dont’ stress about presents for your friends and family. They should be adult enough to understand its’ not about the gift but the GIFT OF LIFE AND LOVE that counts.
