The Penn State scandal has blown up larger than ever imagined. The NCAA did more than throw the book at Penn State in the midst of Jerry Sandusky’s pedophile charges. There’s a lot of numbers being thrown around but right now we’re talking almost $60 million in fines, 4 years out of the post-season, they’re snatching 15-20 scholarships over the next four years and the school is on probation for the next 5 years. I think the saddest moment was watching as Joe Paterno’s iconic statue was taken down from the campus in front of students. Some students crying, others chanting “We are Penn State!” The NCAA says they will not put sports before the safety of children. Take the poll below:
