Baltimore definitely showed up and showed out to IVote Maryland‘s first major event “Express Your Voice Concert Series” at Bourbon Street last night. Over 400 people came out to hear the message of the importance of voting as well as enjoyed performances by some of Baltimore’s most influential artists. The event was hosted by Radio One Baltimore’s Konan, Lil Black, The D.A., Larry Young, Civ Jones, and Permiss. Appearances were made by Baltimore City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young, President of Local AFSCME Glenn Middleton and other city leaders. A special thanks goes out to the performers Konshens & His State Of Mind, Smash, Ogun, Igima, Young Skillz, Dubbs Lane, Karron Johnson, Skarr Akbar, Comp, Billy Lyve, Wordsmith and Kartel. Also a special thank you goes out to Radio One Baltimore’s General Manager Howard Mazer, Operations Manager Al Payne and LYMS Producer James Johnson.
