The Baltimore Sun reports:

A Washington club owner has won a lawsuit against Grammy-winning R&B artist Ne-Yo after the singer failed to show up for a concert.

Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith, and his Anne Arundel County booking agent, Mike Esterman, have been ordered to pay $131,629 to the event promoter, Kenyohn Clark, in a ruling handed down Tuesday by Anne Arundel County Circuit Judge Philip T. Caroom.

Clark sued Ne-Yo and the booking agent after the singer canceled an appearance at a 2008 New Year’s Eve concert in Bellevue, Wash., at the last minute.
