Tank, born Darrell Babbs, is an r&b singer, songwriter and producer. Although born in Milwaukee, he was raised in Clinton, Md.
Did you know that Tank was an athlete but chose to follow his passion for music? He sang background for and went on tour with Ginuwine. In 2001, he released his debut album, Force Of Nature, which spawned the top 10 R&B single, “Maybe I Deserve.”
A year later, he released a second album, One Man and that single of the same name was the largest single off that album. Later that year he co-produced Missy‘s smash hit single “One Minute Man.” In 2007 Tank, Ginuwine and Tyrese formed the group TGT but we didn’t hear too much about them after that.
Tank is best known for his song writing and producing abilities. He has worked with artists such as Jamie Foxx, Marques Houston, Omarion, Aaliyah, Kelly Rowland and Monica. As an associate of The Underdogs, a production team, he has worked with tons of artists and also Dreamgirls, where he had a small role.
