Diddy Hit With New Lawsuits Filed By Two Men
Sean “Diddy” Combs is now being sued by two men separately, Michael Eijawoko and Clayton Howard, who allege years of sexual exploitation linked to the music mogul.
Eijawoko is suing for $500,000, accusing Combs of assault and abuse tied to alleged unpaid work and coercion. Howard, a male escort, is suing both Combs and his former partner Cassie Ventura, claiming he was manipulated into sex work beginning in 2009 and subjected to trafficking, coercion, threats, drugging, and non-consensual acts over an eight-year period. Howard is seeking damages for emotional distress, medical expenses, and lost income.
These allegations come as Diddy prepares for sentencing following his recent criminal conviction. On July 2, a federal jury in New York found Combs guilty on two counts of prostitution transportation. He was acquitted of the more serious charges – sex trafficking and racketeering – after a trial that featured testimony from Ventura and others. Combs is facing up to 20 years in a federal prison, but prosecutors are seeking a sentence between 4 and 5 years, while his legal team places the recommended sentencing range closer to two years.
Diddy remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, as his bail request was denied. He has enrolled in jail rehabilitation programs addressing domestic violence and substance abuse, moves that experts say may influence sentencing leniency.
His sentencing his scheduled for October 3 with both sides submitting recommendations by late September.
