Lil Wayne Announces Surprise Tour for “Tha Carter VI”
Lil Wayne will hit the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City this Friday to kick off his surprise tour for Tha Carter VI.
The tour will span 34 dates across the U.S. and Canada, featuring performances in select cities from Tyga, Belly Gang Kushington, NoCap and the Hot Boys. The tour also commemorates more than two decades of Wayne’s influential Carter series and marks his first-ever headlining performance at Madison Square Garden.
However, some fans are expressing disappointment over the tour’s itinerary. Notably absent is a stop in New Orleans, Wayne’s hometown. While some fans understand the omission, pointing to his annual Lil Weezyana Fest in November as a substitute, others feel slighted by the exclusion.
Despite the controversy, the tour is generating significant excitement, with fans eager to hear new tracks from Tha Carter VI and expecting a mix of new material and classic Weezy sounds.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, June 6.
