Virginia Man Charged After Threatening VP Kamala Harris
A Virginia man is behind bars after making threats against Vice President Kamala Harris on the conservative social media site, GETTR.
Frank Lucio Carillo is now facing up to five years in prison after he made multiple posts involving physical violence against the Democratic presidential nominee.
In one post on GETTR, a platform founded by a former Donald Trump aide, Carillo wrote, “I will cut your eyes out of your f***ing head while you’re alive with a pair of pliers.” He went on to say that he will “shoot and kill everyone that gets in my way.”
The FBI began investigating Carillo after Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, also an Arizona resident, alerted authorities. According to reports, Richer has also been targeted by Carillo’s threats.
Police arrested Carillo on Friday and found an AR-15 rifle and a 9mm handgun in his home.
