There’s a new lingerie sheriff in town and it’s Savage. Billionaire mogul and recording artist Rihanna announced via Instagram that her SavageXFenty lingerie line will be opening new brick and mortar stores in the U.S. in THIS YEAR! According to multiple sources including Rihanna’s camp, “the first five stores will be in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.”
So what does this mean for the major chain Victoria Secret that has held this space for years. For now, not too much. But this does begin to open the playing field for major stocks and public trading in the future for the SavageXFenty line. That’s when the competition will begin to leverage itself in a major way. While the brand itself has being killing it online direct to consumer, this is a major step forward in the next phases of Rihanna business portfolio for years to come.
