It’s that time of the year again and this one feels different.
The official announcement of the 2021 XXL Freshmen List arrived Wednesday. Some of the heaviest upcoming names in current rotation made the list including, Coi Leray, Pooh Sheisty, 42 Dugg and more. As Aaron Williams of Uproxx shares, the list is a great collection of “breakout artists [who have] all made impressive debuts, charted highly, or garnered plenty of viral attention in the past year.”
Personally, it’s tough to look at this list with critical eyes and ears. Really have a good feeling about this collection of artists. Check out the official announcement from XXL:
As always, there will be a heavy roll out surrounding the list. I urge you to take the time to check out some of the work from these names and be prepared for a few to take over the industry. Be prepared and be open! This is part of the future of music.
