Rapper YFN Lucci is currently being held without bond in Georgia. He’s facing charges of felony murder and aggravated assault after being accused of driving a vehicle used in a fatal drive-by. His girlfriend, Reginae Carter, took to Instagram to let fans know that Lucci is in “good spirits”.

“Hey guys! Ray wants you all to know he’s in good spirits and doing well. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes … He’ll be home soon.” she wrote.

The case has begun.

Lucci, born Rayshawn Bennett, will have a hefty legal battle ahead.

These aren’t minor charges by any stretch of the imagination so when Reginae mentions that “he’ll be home soon”, there’s just no indication of that. However, there is some good news for the 29 year old rapper after his lawyer, Drew Findling, shared some insight on the case. He claims there is ‘no basis’ in the charges against Bennett.

“Our review of the initial evidence made available to us, indicates there is no basis for any criminal charges against Rayshawn Bennett,” Findling shared Billboard on Friday (Jan. 15) in a statement. “We will continue our own investigation on his behalf.”
