Police are still searching for the suspect who shot and killed a 51-year-old MTA bus driver in east Baltimore Thursday.
According to police, at approximately 10:32 A.M., a Patrol officer was in the area of the 1200 block of E. Fayette Street when he heard gunshots.
The officer responded to the area where he saw and chased the shooting suspect.
Upon returning to the location, the officer found a male bus driver, identified by as Marcus Parks, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives said the shooting stemmed from an argument between Parks and the suspect, who was upset when Parks told him passengers were not permitted on the bus at that time. Police say the suspect took Parks’ bag, and Parks chased him out of the bus. That’s when the shooting happened.
