Devon Vaow, aka Evon Michelle, is known for her work ethic, ability to captivate a crowd, and her drive to bring opportunity to queer performers in Baltimore are just a few things that earned her the title of Baltimore’s 2020 Drag Performer of the Year. Traveling up and down the East Coast, Evon has appeared at monumental events and venues like Charlotte Pride, the World Famous Parliament House in Orlando, and even Walt Disney World during the annual GayDays festival.
In the two short years Evon has lived in Baltimore, she has been a crucial part of curating events such as Maryland’s Largest Drag Queen Brunch in Hanover, becoming the Creative Director for Baltimore’s Premier LGBTQ event company, SAD Brunch, and facilitated a holiday fundraiser “How The Queens Gave Christmas” to raise money for the LGBTQ Health and Resource Center at Chase Brexton.
