Who is Chuck Cooper?
Well, Chuck was the first black draft pick to make it in the NBA. He was picked by the Boston Celtics and faced lots of racism because he was a African American but, that didn’t stop the Boston Celtics from putting him on the team. Chuck Cooper broke the color barrier 69 years ago and now he will get something that was long overdue.
He is going to be inducted into the NBA Hall Of Fame and the family got his jersey from a celebration in Boston!
