The 2019 Preakness Stakes is this Saturday, May 18th. Gates open Preakness Day at 8 a.m. for the facility. The InfieldFest, Preakness Village and Turfside Terrace gates open at 9 a.m. The first race post on Preakness Day is at 10:30 a.m.

Traffic flow will be the lightest before noon, and wait times could be lengthy between Noon and 3 p.m. The Preakness post is around 6:30 p.m.

WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO PIMLICO?

The following items are PROHIBITED EVERYWHERE on Black-Eyed Susan and Preakness Days (Pimlico reserves the right to confiscate any such item.)

  • Drugs or weapons of any kind
  • Outside food or beverage of any kind
  • Glass containers of any type
  • Tents
  • Umbrellas of any kind
  • Balloons, balls, and Frisbees
  • Drones of any kind
  • Selfie Sticks
  • Camelbacks or water bladders of any kind
  • Chairs or folding chairs of any kind
  • Hibachis or barbecues
  • Ladders, scaffolding or other raised devices
  • Bulk or oversized carrying devices
  • Non-folding, or folding, metal furniture
  • Hand carts, or wheeled carts
  • Backpacks & duffle bags
  • Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all indoor and seating sections. Please use designated smoking areas.

The following items are PROHIBITED in the GRANDSTAND/CLUBHOUSE:

  • Outside beverages of any kind (including alcohol, beer, wine, so drinks, water or other beverages)
  • Outside food of any kind
  • Coolers, backpacks or thermoses
  • Vaping not permitted anywhere indoors
  • The following items are PERMITTED in the GRANDSTAND/CLUBHOUSE:
  • Beach blankets and suntan lotion
  • Cell phones, cameras (up to 35mm), camcorders and binoculars
  • Clear bags for personal items, no larger than 18” x 18”
  • Empty, clear water disposable bottles
  • Personal bags including purses, no larger than 18”x 18” (subject to search)
  • For medical needs and equipment, please see on-site supervisor

The following items are PROHIBITED in the TURFSIDE TERRACE and CLUBHOUSE:

  • Outside food or beverage items
  • Coolers, backpacks, or thermoses

The following items are PROHIBITED in the INFIELDFEST/MUG & VINE LOUNGE:

  • Thermoses
  • Balloons, balls, and frisbees
  • Food or beverages of any kind (including alcohol, beer, wine, soft drinks, water, or other beverages)

The following items are PERMITTED in the INFIELDFEST/MUG & VINE LOUNGE:

  • Beach blankets (InfieldFest only) and suntan lotion
  • Cell phones, cameras (up to 35mm), camcorders and binoculars
  • All persons entering Pimlico and their camera bags, purses and containers are subject to direct physical search or indirect search by wanding or magnetometers.

WHERE TO PARK

Designated parking lots correspond to tickets and are as follows:

General Building Admission/Grandstand/Clubhouse Seating: Use Lot 1, 2, 3, 9

Sports Palace and Dining Room Seating: Use Lot 1, 2, 3

Turfside Terrace/Preakness Village/Clubhouse Turn and Sky Suites: Use Lot 1, 2, 3

Lot 1 direct access is via Park Heights Avenue to Hayward or West Belvedere Avenue entrances

Lot 2 direct access is via Park Heights Avenue to Hayward Avenue entrance

Lot 3 direct access is via Park Heights Avenue to Winner Avenue entrance

Infieldfest ticket holders should use Lot 4 for the track crossing tram or Lot 9 for direct tunnel entrance

Lot 9 direct access is via Northern Parkway to Woodcrest Avenue entrance

Lot 4 direct access is via Northern Parkway to Preakness Way entrance

DROP-OFF AND PICKUP LOCATIONS FOR UBER, LYFT

There are two ride-share lots.

Infield Fest ticket holders should use the Rideshare lot at Northern Parkway and Preakness Way.

For all other ticket holders, use the West Belvedere/Palmer Avenue curbside drop location. This includes ticket-holders for: General Building Admission, Grandstand, Clubhouse, Sports Palace and Dining Room Seating, Turfside Terrace, Preakness Village and Clubhouse Turn and Sky Suites.

Street closures to come when it’s released by the Baltimore City Department of Transportation.
