The Light Rail station at Camden Yards will be back up and running by the Orioles home opener.
It first shut down in October of last year to make way for a larger waiting area, bathroom and police substation. Since then, commuters had to bypass the stop, getting off at the Convention Center station instead.
On Friday (March 22), MTA spokesman Paul Shepherd confirmed to 92Q construction at the light rail station will be done by April 4th. That’s when the Baltimore Orioles are scheduled to face off against the New York Yankees.
However, Shepherd did say construction at the Camden Yards MARC train station will not be completed by opening day. He said commuters can expect work in that area to wrap up during the summer, in July/August.
