Mayor Catherine Pugh has returned money from her $100,000 book deal to University of Maryland Medical System, according to press secretary James Bentley.
Bentley says, the Mayor has filed her taxes appropriately and does have all of the 1099 documents to account for the income she made through the book deal with UMMS.
The mayor sold her 21-page children’s book to the University Of Maryland Hospital where she was a board member for more than 10 years. She reportedly earned more than $100,000 from the deal.
