The City Council is considering a bill that would give people who illegally ride or park electric rental scooters in Baltimore new penalties.
The proposed law would not allow e-bikes or e-scooters from being ridden at speeds over 15 mph or parking it illegally.
Violators would get a misdemeanor with the maximum penalty of a $1,000 fine and 30 days in jail.
