Jon Coles claims he was assaulted and his car damaged in downtown Baltimore by a group of squeegee boys cleaning windshields.

Cole says, he was driving with his wife and children in the car Friday near Lombard and Light streets when they were approached by the group to clean his car.

When he declined to getting his windows wash, the squeegee boys allegedly started hitting on his windows.

“I got out of the car and asked him exactly why they were hitting my windows, but I was hit across my face with a squeegee, in the back of my head with a squeegee, in my back. They were throwing bottles, they were throwing other stuff they had on them at me. ” Coles said.

Mayor Catherine Pugh released a statement, saying: “We will not tolerate clear criminal behavior by those who not only impede traffic at our major intersections, but who threaten residents and visitors to our city.”
